5 Steps to Personalizing Your Photography

.
Pinterest Mood Board
Creating a personalized photography experience four each of our clients requires that we understand our couple’s personalities and individual preferences on the look and feel of the photographs they desire. In order to create a unique collection of images centered around your preferences, we request you to create a “mood board.”
So what is a Moodboard?
A moodboard is simply an idea or inspiration board on which couples display their favorite images. Couples add images to their moodboard to visually communicate aspects of their style preferences.
For example, you might love the angle or composition, a specific pose, the type of lighting, the style of post production or any other component of the photograph. Your board allows our photographers to be on the same page as you and clearly understand your image preferences.
Moodboard vs Shot List
A Moodboard sets a benchmark of your desired style of photography, but it is NOT a “shot list.” A “shot list” is a detailed list of must-have shots for the photographer to follow and check off throughout the wedding day. This type of checklist is discouraged, as it inhibits a photographer’s creativity and focuses his or her attention on duplicating and recreating a shot-list, rather than creating fresh content and being unique with the given challenges surrounding any particular shoot.
